Onto the FOTD post.

I was recently inspired by a recent tutorial on YT from Rai where she did a Rihanna inspired look. I decided to try my own version of this look & this is what I came up with.

What I Used:

MAC`s Texture to blend out crease & up to my brow.

Sephora`s Peach eyeshadow in tear duct.

Sephora`s Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Lips;

NYX`s Mega Shine Lipgloss in Miami Babe.

Face;

NYX`s Pinched Powder Blush.

Curls;

Mini Twists.

I did tone the green shade down a bit. Mainly because I had nothing as bright as the green Rai & Rihanna used.

NOTW; Rose Water + Mini Review

Hey y`all!

I recently was contacted by KKCenterHK to do another review.

Last time I picked out some lashes to review.

This time I was given the chance to choose a nail polish.

Let me first say, the shipping was AMAZING.

I let them know of my choice, they shipped it on a Friday, & I received it the Saturday of the following week.

Very impressive, considering this was coming from Hong Kong.

Onto the polish.

I picked out the EBALAY Violet Matte Nail Polish.

They have 16 EBALAY shades to choose from.

The cost of this polish is $6.50.

Let me just say I love the color! You guys know purple is my favorite shade & I am just in love. I also love the matte finish. When I say this shade is matte, I mean there is not one tiny hint of shimmer at all. I did not apply a top coat or anything to my nails. I`ve had this polish on for 4 days before it started to chip. I will say the opacity is a little on the sheer side. It took 2, and on some nails, 3 applications to get the opacity I wanted.

Overall, I`m very happy with my selection.

Fab Finds - Revlon Matte Lipsticks

Today I have an amazing find for you guys!

I wanted to share my Revlon lipsticks I found for only $2.50!

Unfortunately, I found these at a store locally & they are not nationwide.

If you live in NC, I would recommend visiting a JR's.

They have a TON of makeup items, which I was not expecting since they are a mainly known as a cigarette store.

I picked up 3 of the Revlon Matte Lipsticks.

I got Pink About It, Cocoa Craving, & Strawberry Suede.

Avon Quad - Mystery [Swatches + Thoughts]

Hey guys!

First off hello to all of my new readers & old ones.

I will be picking my winner for the Eyes giveaway soon.

The lip giveaway will be up later this week, hopefully.

As some of you know, I`m an Avon rep, so I am always excited to try their new products out.

Today I wanted to share my thoughts on one of the limited edition quads Avon has out.

When I saw these limited edition quads & lipsticks I knew I had to have them!

I have never tried any of the Avon quads & thought this would be a great time to try them out.

I picked up the quad in Mystery. It appealed the most to me.

I did not expect the packaging to be limited edition as well, but it was.

I totally love it!

For this to have been my first Avon quad, I was a little disappointed. I think Glistening Woods is my favorite shade from the palette. It`s a very neutral bronze-y shade. Great for the crease. Purple Hazed is a pretty lavender, however you do have to build the color up to get some opacity. I had high hopes for Apricot Mystery, however it is a very chalky shade. Very disappointing. I almost forgot Apricot Reflection, probably because it is so sheer. I tried to build it up for you guys to see a swatch, but it's just a slight gold shimmer. Nothing major. I used it to lightly highlight my brow bone.

Now I can`t speak on all of Avon's quads as this was my first, but this one I would not recommend. I don't think it's a must have at all. The only promising shade was Glistening Woods. So I say save your money before purchasing this one!

I might consider buying another Avon quad, but only after I look up swatches.

Hopefully this helped you if you were thinking of purchasing this quad.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to try & incorporate more tips & tricks into my blog.

Lately I`ve been reading a book called Ask [the 100 most asked questions about beauty] By Bella Blissett & have picked up so many new tips for your hair, skin, nail, & makeup.

I thought I would share a few a couple times a week, plus some of my own that I`ve learned over time.

In a hurry, but need to tame flyaways?

Pass a silk scarf over your hair to eliminate static.

Need to know the best exfoliator for you?

If you have larger pores, try a chunky exfoliator & for smaller pores try something more subtle.

Looking for the best hair straightner?

Try a teflon-coated flat iron, it is less likely to dry your hair out.

Not sure where to apply your highlight?

Try your brows, cupid`s bow, bridge of the nose, & in a semicircle near the outer eye along the cheekbone.

MAC Collective Haul;*

Recently I bought a few things from my local MAC counter & local CCO.

For those of you who may not know what a CCO is, it is a Company Cosmetic Store that sells overstocked & limited edition Estee Lauder brands at 30% off. The not only have MAC & Estee Lauder, but also Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Ojon, & other brands.

I picked up 4 eyeshadows & 1 lipstick in my recent hauling!

From my MAC counter, I picked up MAC`s new lipstick in Viva Glam Nicki & Texture eyeshadow.

From the CCO I picked up Shimmermoss, Humid, & Maira`s Mood.

Viva Glam Nicki Swatch;

Viva Glam Nicki is not too flattering on me. I will definitely have to play around with it to get it to my liking. I bought some new lip liners & have some glosses to tweak it a bit.

Here are the shadow swatches;

Most of my MAC shadows are neutral shades, so I decided to pick up a few colorful ones for my collection. Shimmermoss & Humid came out with the MAC to the Beach Collection & I was not into MAC at that time, so I figured these would be great shades to pick up. Maira`s Mood is a bit hard to show up, I had to pack it on to get a decent swatch. Still a pretty color to have. Lastly I got Texture because everyone is in love with this shadow from what I`ve seen. Tons of my favorite YTers have this shade, so I figured it would be great to have.

Fab Finds - Hair, Skin, & Nails;

Today I wanted to share my latest Fab Finds.

These are some items I found near the end of Jan & in Feb.

I found a insulated traveling pouch for my flat iron for only $2 at Big Lots. I figured this would be great to have in case I`m in a hurry, I can stuff my flat iron or curling iron into this & let it cool inside. Plus it will help cut down the amount a bags I travel with. I also picked up a gold Goody's headband & the Got2B kinkier spray gel. It was on clearance at Walgreens for like $2.50, my inner hair junkie figured why not try it out.

I picked up an ELF eyelash curler from Big Lots, only $1. From Ollies, which is a store very similar to Big Lots, I picked up an epilator. I`ve been wanting to try one of these out forever! I was so happy when I saw the Remington Smooth & Silky Epilator for only $18! Can`t wait to try this out.

Lastly I picked up 2 nail polishes from Walgreens. I picked up a Sally Hansen nail polish in Co-Bolt Blue & everyone has loved this color. You can see Co-Bolt Blue swatched here in my NOTW post. I also go the Maybelline Express Finish polish in clear. Not to much of a fan of this polish. Lastly, I got some new makeup remover wipes from Big Lots. Someone on BlogTV suggested these & I decided to try them out. They are the Epielle Aloe Vera Cleansing Tissues & were only $2 for 60. Love these & definitely will be picking up more!
